Dr. Marcos Moshinsky who was a distinguished faculty member of our Institute died Wednesday, April 1st. He mentored and inspired many physicists during his long scientific career. He contributed to the field of nuclear physics by applying group theory to explore and understand symmetries of nuclei. He had a lasting impact in the development of physics in Mexico. We join his family and friends in this sorrow.
